Some funny quotes from the little men in my life...
The other day Luke was surprised by something then without hesitation he says, "What in tarnation!?" Excuse me, what are you 80?! My grandma says stuff like that!!!
Brad tells the boys "there will be big trouble in little China" if they don't listen. Well, the other day Jake was in time-out yelling something at me I couldn't understand. Come to find out through the help of my 4-yr old interpreter Jake was yelling, "little China, little China!" at me (envision the wrinkled brow, pulsing, poking finger, sulking disposition and pout. He had it all going on!), which meant "No Mom, YOU are gonna be in trouble for putting me in time-out!" Gotta love a 2-yr old with an attitude! Then again is there any other kind?!
For those of you who know me for more than 15 minutes you know I am not the most patient person, God knows I'm trying! So when we seemed to be waiting foreeeever for some old lady to turn right the other day I said, "Punch it Granny!" Jake repeats, "Puuunch it Graanny?" from the back seat. I try to explain my oh-so-mature comment to my 2 & 4 yr old and we all laugh. Later that day when I picked up the boys from school we were sitting at a stop light and this time it was Jake who became impatient...from the back seat I hear, what else but, "Puuuunch it Graanny!" Oh, all the grand wisdom I am instilling in my household!

We Have Lift Off
A month ago I gave Luke's room a makeover with a big boy bed and new paint. But it still needed something, so today we painted rockets on the wall.
He wanted to help paint so badly but my anal retentive side couldn't give in. So I decided to paint "my" rocket the way I envisioned and let him paint his.
How cute are these? It would've been so boring without these precious additions!!
While "creating" Luke told me the orange one is a "bug rocket" (clearly!!!). Not to be left out of the fun, Jake held the brush with me while we drew the star.
Amazingly enough no paint was spilled, stepped in or schmeared across the bedspread during this undertaking!!

Mid-Life Dream!
There are times in life to hunker down and work hard, to rest, to be responsible and then there are times to take risks toward dreams you've always had...this is one of those times in my life!
May I introduce you to my 2005 Harley 883 Sportster?
2010 is bound to be filled with excitement!!
