I have to admit, I'm not a fan of sun suits. I think they are pretty dorky but got these for a steal ($5 at CVS. So sad they bought out my beloved Longs Drugs!) and sold them to the boys as Super Hero suits! Unfortunately the dorky suits made their way to the beach even still.

But look how darn cute and cheesy they look! I didn't have the heart to tell them mom would rather they just wear them in the privacy of our own home. I know I have issues!

It took us about 20 minutes to get all the accessories and put this pirate "suit" together then Luke wore it for about 5 minutes. Now that was fun!

View from our room in Half Moon Bay last weekend
just before sunrise.
I had great expectations of sleeping in but thanks to my maternal clock I was up at 6:30.! But I'm not complaining, it was quiet, I was with my husband and the view was amazing as you can see.
I enjoyed some time reading, doing my bible study, then went for a nice run on the beach (all while Brad continued to savor snoozing lazily in bed) and then brought up fresh coffee, juice, muffins for us.

It was divine! The whole weekend...perfect! We are truly blessed!

and then back to reality...
(which I love too, don't get me wrong)

Buy Halloween costumes early and get your monies worth! However, try and select costumes that do not require mom's help taking it on and off every two minutes (which I failed to think of when I bought this dinosaur).

While Jake napped Luke took full advantage of not only wearing Jake's dino costume but also pairing it with his IronMan mask. He always asks if we can tell if he's smiling or not when he has the mask on. What do you think?

Just Having Fun

We ride bikes and scooters up and down our street so much that we have practically worn a groove into the sidewalk. For some reason when we get to our turnaround point Jake needs to minimally disrobe (off comes the helmet, socks & shoes) to climb onto this rock and give you that, "So, ya impressed?" look.

Our aspiring photographer gets his willing participants to
work for him.

And which of Luke's parents does he resemble in this photo? Caaaaareful!

Like herding cats...If only I could keep them in a pen for more of their waking hours!

The boys "rode" their dogs around the house with their oh-so-stylish headbands (so glad I bought those for me today!) before the big feed!

The Feed

Jake decided to feed his ham-n-egg dinner to his dog. As soon as Luke saw this going down he cried out, "Don't feed my dog eggs, he's ALLERGIC!!!"

All In A Summer's Day!

Jake's first haircut...

Look Ma, no more mullet!!

And they say men can't multi-task!
Once again the Imbler boys prove to be over-achievers.
Case in point...as you can see Luke is not only taking orders for take-out, he can drink on the job, man the kitchen and boss his little brother around while still being fashion-forward sportin' an El Torito crown of horns, thankyouverymuch!!

Luke and Best Bud Lauren

Our new eco-friendly drying system.
Saving the earth one load of underwear at a time.
Note to self: When boys are teenagers remind them how much they enjoyed helping mom do laundry.
